You went to school to learn how to act, but when do you learn you how to be a working actor? Maria is taking her classes on the road, teaching workshops at MFA and undergraduate programs across the country to help actors apply the tools they learn in school to the world after graduation.
In 2017 Maria had the pleasure of working with the Penn State MFA Acting program, teaching on-camera technique and producing their graduate showcase. She also enjoyed leading a 5-week series on How to Be a Working Actor at NYU Stonestreet.
In 2018 she will continue her work as a consultant for the NYU Grad Acting showcase and co-produce the DeSales Undergraduate Theater showcase.
For over a decade, Maria has brought her broad range of experience to private studios, colleges and universities, speaking on such topics as:
- Auditioning for the Camera
- Choosing Your Type
- The Business of Acting
- Taking Control of Your Career
- Showcase Prep
- The Role of a Casting Director
Additionally, she has advised students from some of the top acting programs across the country including Juilliard, Yale, NYU, Carnegie Melon, Harvard / ART, Brown / Trinity Rep, ACT, Columbia, Rutgers, NCSA and Northwestern.
